Texarkana College professor Delores McCright will teach a composting yard waste class from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in Room 119 of the Biology Building.

The cost of the class is $10 and those interested can sign up in the Community Education Office in the Administration Building or call 903-838-4541.

Those who attend will take home free bins, books and compost tips wheels.

McCright offers the class as training for an alternative to burning waste, which she says contributes to global warming.
