HOPE, Ark.—Gertie Mae Scott, 88, of Hope died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Scott was born December 9, 1919, in Sarepta, La. She was retired from Medical Park Hospital, a member of Eastern Star and Mount Pleasant CME Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble Scott Sr.; and one son, Luther D. Scott.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruthie Phillips of Sugar Land, Texas; three sons, Noble Scott Jr. of San Diego, Billy Joe Scott of Hope, and John L. Scott of Manhatten, Kan.; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchi...
