Chew it over: Sonic patrons can help the hungry Friday

Harvest Texarkana is having the Sonic Harvest Hop fund-raiser from 10:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Friday at several area Sonic Drive-Ins.

“We will have various volunteers and some local celebrities ... following carhops to the cars as they deliver the food and asking people basically to donate their change to help Harvest Texarkana,” said Trista Aikin, office assistant for Harvest Texarkana. “We’ll have different celebrities ... at each one.”

Harvest Texarkana is also looking for volunteers to help with the event.
