Many of the city’s leaders recently accompanied Texarkana, Texas, police officers in patrols of several neighborhoods across the city.

City Manager Larry Sullivan, Mayor Steve Mayo and members of the City Council rode with officers with the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department on their rounds in the Beverly, Rose Hill and Highland Park neighborhoods and the downtown.

It was part of an effort to witness firsthand the concerns of particular neighborhoods. Council members had the opportunity to talk with residents about their concerns for the areas.
