A Redwater, Texas, man accused of being drunk when he ran over a local minister is scheduled for a jury trial in November.

Donald DeWayne Hood, 44, appeared Thursday for a pretrial hearing before District Judge Leon F. Pesek Jr. with his defense attorney, Al Smith of Texarkana.

Hood is accused of running over Paul Fisher on Dec. 8, 2007, at West 12th and Walnut streets while he drove his gray Jeep Grand Cherokee in Texarkana, Texas. Fisher was an associate pastor at First Bikers Church.
