State retains custody of children

Former Alamo follower hopes to reunite with kids

When Anthony Lane was in the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries prayer room, he was secretly praying, “Lord, get me and my family out of this cult.”

Lane is trying to reunite with his children, Ashley, 13, and Sarah, 11, and a son he has never seen, Timothy, 9.

He suspects his children live in one of the Alamo compounds.

Simultaneous federal and state search warrants were executed at the Alamo site in Fouke, Ark., Saturday as part of a two-year investigation by the Arkansas State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
