Texarkana College student enrollment is the highest it’s been in its 81-year history, qualifying the college for an increase in legislative funding.

“This is the largest enrollment this institution has ever had,” TC President Frank Coleman said. “The total 4,944—we set 5,000 as a goal and we came up a little bit short. We set a record by 196 students.”

School officials report the growth as a 14.9 percent increase over last fall’s enrollment count of 4,439 students.
