The Texarkana Composite Civil Air Patrol Squadron will host an open house at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Texarkana Regional Airport.

The event, which will be held at the headquarters site at 55 Globe Ave., is designed to promote CAP membership and provide the general public with information about the organization.

The Civil Air Patrol, founded Dec. 1, 1941, is the civilian auxiliary of the Air Force. The organization supports search and rescue operations and performs damage assessment surveys and other civil defense missions for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
