The last day to register to vote in the General Election is Oct. 6.

“There is always a surge at election time, especially a presidential election.” said Ann Nichols of the Miller County Clerk’s office, “A lot of people are calling to verify that they are registered.”

The last day to register is usually 31 days prior to any election, but this year that date falls on a weekend, so Monday, Oct. 6 will be the last day
