About 20 volunteers along with several Bowie County Adult Probation workers clear debris from the historic State Line Woodlawn Cemetery’s historic black section Saturday morning. The Texas Elks Lodge was there providing food and beverages to those who came to help. The State Line Woodlawn Cemetery Association will have monthly community-wide cleanup events on Saturdays to help restore the condition of the historic black section, which has deteriorated after years of neglect and from damage done by recent storms.
