EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the third installment of an 11-week Sunday series that chronicles U.S. Army Cpl. Andy Burnett’s recovery and rehabilitation from grave, life-altering wounds received in battle in Afghanistan. The e-mail logs today and to follow on consecutive Sundays were kept by Andy’s father, Larry Burnett of Texarkana, Ark. They tell of the first six weeks following Andy’s injuries. Andy currently is in a Tampa, Fla., rehab center. We hope that by Thanksgiving, he will be in rehab in Dallas. We will update readers then on his progress.
