In Saturday’s edition, an article about local and area churches working with the American Red Cross to house recent evacuees said the Red Cross is responsible for providing two hot meals a day and a cold breakfast.

The Red Cross manages these shelters and ensures that evacuees in them get fed as part of the area’s emergency management plan, said Dave Hall, director of Texarkana Emergency Management.
