The Liberty-Eylau Indepen-dent School District Board on Monday named Christy Tidwell principal of both the high school and middle school, after spending about an hour in executive session.

The board voted 5-2 to make Tidwell, whom the district recently had appointed as assistant superintendent of secondary education, to become principal in charge of both campuses.

Although the designation is new to L-E, Superintendent Micah Lewis said other school districts throughout Texas have principals in charge of multiple campuses.
