A 30-year-old man died Monday night after he was shot at a Texarkana, Texas, house, police said.

When Texas-side police officers responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Jerome Street shortly before 8:30 p.m., they found Lavalas Thomas lying in the yard of the residence, said Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald, TTPD spokesman. Thomas was shot multiple times.

At presstime, police were looking for a potential suspect. The shooting is believed to be the result of an argument with the suspect, Fitzgerald said.
