Ross: Bill requires FEMA to ‘act’ on trailers stored at Hope

A bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives requiring the Federal Emergency Management Agency to act on the thousands of manufactured homes being stored in Hope, Ark., and across the country, said U.S. Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark.

The congressman helped pass an amended version of the FEMA Accountability Act of 2008, which contained language from the bill he introduced last December. 

The legislation now goes to the U.S. Senate for final approval, where, if passed, it will be sent to the president for signature.
