Texarkana, Texas, Police Department has arrested a suspect in Monday night’s shooting death of a local man, authorities said. Anthony Dawon Davis, 22, of Texarkana, Texas, was arrested in connection with the death of Lavalas Thomas, 30, said Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald, TTPD spokesman. Thomas was shot multiple times in front of a house in the 500 block of Jerome Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Thomas was taken by LifeNet ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
