A Texarkana man pleaded not guilty Thursday to seven counts of rape and a single count of kidnapping before a Miller County Circuit judge.

Myka Brandon Talley, 31, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman after following her home from a trip to the grocery store July 4.

Each of the seven counts of rape includes a penalty range of between 10 and 40 years or life in an Arkansas prison. A conviction for kidnapping is punishable in the same way.

Hudson scheduled Talley for a trial before Circuit Judge Kirk Johnson in mid-November.
