About 20 schools are competing in this years’ Four States Marching Contest from 10:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at Tiger Stadium at Grim Park.

An expected 1,500 students representing 18 schools from the four states area will be in attendance and are expected to the crowd with their unique marching abilities, school officials said.

An awards ceremony will begin at 4:15 p.m.

The contest brings together the musical and marching talents of area bands as they prepare for regional contests. Admission is $1 per person and the public is invited to attend.
