Local lawmakers still split on vote

The two sides of Texarkana got a “for” and an “against” vote Friday on the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 which passed the House of Representatives 263 to 171.

U.S. Sen. Ralph Hall, R-Texas, was among the no votes. He said his stance was backed by the citizens he serves.
