A U.S. Senate candidate will be making campaign stops in Mount Pleasant and Gilmer, Texas, today.

Rick Noriega of Houston is scheduled to attend a rally with Northeast Texas democrats at 3:30 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center, 1800 N. Jefferson Ave.

Later, he will be at the Upshur County Democrats Annual Bean Dinner held at the Yamboree Fair Ground on Highway 271 in Gilmer.

Noriega, who has served in the Texas House of Representatives a total of five terms since 1998, will be outlining his plan to bring change to Texas families at these two events.
