Man to serve 40 years for robbery26-year-old found guilty in 2007 holdup of local gas station
A Bowie County jury sentenced a man to 40 years in prison last week for robbing a Texarkana, Texas, gas station at gunpoint.
Quincy LaJames Nelson, 26, was convicted of committing a Sept. 11, 2007, holdup of Shelby’s Exxon on Texas Boulevard. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michael Shepherd and First Assistant District Attorney Jerry Rochelle. “We were extremely happy with the result both for the victim and for the citizens of Bowie County,” Rochelle said. “The jury had a difficult job to do.
