Echo Hills Missionary Baptist Church will host a Celebrity Roast in honor of the 50-year music ministry of J.H. Higgs.

Higgs has served as minister of music for the church for about four years but has also ministered throughout the region at churches, revivals and other special events.

The service will be at 2 p.m. today and several guests are lined up to speak at the event and he will also be presented with a special award, said the Rev. Albert Riggs, pastor.
