Amtrak station may remain staffedHarrelson urges officials to rethink unstaffing plan amid ridership increase
Amtrak officials may reconsider a decision to remove the staff from the Texarkana Amtrak station, says Arkansas District 1 state Rep. Steve Harrelson, D-Texarkana.
Amtrak was scheduled to no longer staff the Texarkana station after longtime agent M.E. Hogue retires in late October, said an e-mail from Bill Pollard of Conway, who is chairman of the Arkansas Association of Railroad Passengers.
