Middle school leadership students work to design community projects

The recent forum was a partnership between the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Texarkana, Today’s Youth Tomorrow’s Leaders and the Leadership, Management & Technology Academy at Texas Middle School. Students are being partnered with adult leaders and high school mentors to work on future community service projects throughout the school year. The students, mostly sixth-graders, recently met at Texarkana College to learn leadership skills through a program designed by the John B. Sheppard Leadership Institute at the University of Texas.
