Middle school leadership students work to design community projects

The recent forum was a partnership between the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Texarkana, Today’s Youth Tomorrow’s Leaders and the Leadership, Management & Technology Academy at Texas Middle School.
The new Leadership, Management & Technology Academy at Texas Middle School is getting off to a quick start.

Students are being partnered with adult leaders and high school mentors to work on future community service projects throughout the school year.

The students, mostly sixth-graders, recently met at Texarkana College to learn leadership skills through a program designed by the John B. Sheppard Leadership Institute at the University of Texas.
