Police seeking driver involved in hit-and-run
Texarkana, Texas, police are looking for a woman believed to be the suspect in a hit-and-run Monday evening in the Beverly neighborhood.
Just before 7 p.m. Monday, a 6-year-old was struck by a black Ford Explorer in the 500 block of Lumpkin Street, said Officer Ed Emilia, Texarkana, Texas, Police Department spokesman. The vehicle was said to be traveling on King Street and turned east onto Lumpkin Street. After striking the child, the driver of the Explorer stopped the vehicle to check on the child.
