State police confirm body as missing De Queen teen

The body found in a remote area near De Queen Lake has been identified by the Arkansas Crime Lab as 15-year-old Ivonne Ramirez, who has been missing since Sept. 20.

The crime lab contacted Arkansas State Police Special Agent Ray Gentry with the identity confirmation, said 9th Judicial District Prosecutor Ralph Keen. The identity was confirmed through dental records.

The teen’s death is being investigated as a homicide, but the crime lab has yet to release a cause of death.
