A federal lawsuit filed Thursday by an inmate alleges deplorable living conditions in the Miller County jail.

“These conditions are unhealthy, unsanitary and inhumane and would tend to shock the sensibilities of any common person,” reads the complaint filed by Russell Lee, an inmate held in the jail on a parole violation.

Lee filed the civil rights lawsuit “pro se,” which means he is representing himself.
