Some people wake up every day not knowing when or from where their next meal will come.

To help raise hunger awareness, between 30 and 40 youth of Fellowship Bible Church will participate in a 30-hour famine Friday and Saturday in the student center of the church.

The group’s goal is to raise $4,000 through pledges and matching funds, said youth director Andy Tuttlebee. Pledges are still being accepted.

Their efforts are part of an international ministry, which uses the famine to raise money and awareness for the relief organization, World Vision.
