About 40 people gathered in the brisk evening air Wednesday to commemorate a project started to remember area veterans of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Situated near downtown Texarkana, the Korea/Vietnam Memorial brick wall was built and dedicated as a labor of love 20 years ago this week by veterans determined to memorialize their fallen and missing comrades.
During Wednesday night’s ceremony, members of the local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 278 rededicated the memorial by reading the names of about 400 veterans listed on the wall from the Four States Area.
