The local Thomas & Thomas accounting firm greeted the Liberty-Eylau Independent School District Board of Trustees with some good news Thursday.

The firm reported that the district appears to be well in the black as far as its last fiscal year’s finances are concerned.

“We encountered no difficulties in performing the audit,” the company stated in a letter to the board. “We are pleased to report that no disagreements arose during the course of our audit.”

After some discussion, the board approved the 2007-08 audit.
