2.09-carat diamond found in Arkansas

The 2.09-carat diamond is shaped  somewhat like a tooth.

A 2.09-carat potentially flawless diamond was recently found in the Arkansas Crater of Diamonds State Park “Field of Dreams” near Murfreesboro, Ark.

Rhonda Bankston of Baton Rouge named her diamond “Dream Angel” after she unearthed it Nov. 16.

Bankston was prospecting in the park’s 37.5-acre search area when she discovered the white diamond.

She found the gem near a sign marking the location where the 40.23-carat “Uncle Sam” diamond, the largest diamond ever unearthed in the United States, was found in 1924.
