If a federal civil lawsuit alleging “inmate dumping” of sick or injured jail inmate by Miller County officials is settled, a jury may never decide if the practice violates the state and U.S. constitutions.

“The parties have tentatively settled this matter subject to the vote of the Miller County Quorum Court,” according to an agreed motion.

The Quorum Court is expected to vote on the settlement at its Dec. 15 meeting, said Quorum Court member Haze Hudson.
