A fire about 4 a.m. Sunday destroyed a house on Wilson Street in Ben Lomond, Ark., in southeast Sevier County.

The fire destroyed the house of Randy and Betsy Day, said Lockesburg Fire Chief Rodger Ridley. The fire appears to have started in the furnace in the south end of the house.

The Ben Lomond Fire Department responded to the fire call and extinguished the blaze. But about 10:20 p.m. Sunday, the fire reignited and the Lockesburg Fire Department was requested to respond.
