Young artist’s passion puts her in the running for national recognition

Shana was recently selected as a 2009 youngARTS finalist. She will be traveling to Miami early next year for a week of arts, auditions and interviews to determine cash awards and a possible nomination as a 2009 Presidential Scholar in the Arts. It was obvious in every brush stroke she made Tuesday as she prepared artwork for the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts’ youngARTS Week. Shana is one of 20 visual artists selected for an expense-paid trip to youngARTS Week in Miami.
