With the Texarkana Regional Airport’s finances flying low, the Twin Cities’ mayors have expressed interest in helping restore the airport’s bank account to a reasonable altitude.

Last week, the airport’s finance committee recommended that airport officials submit a $214,000 budget deficit for 2009, which the two cities could cost-share, instead of a $285,000 deficit initially forecast.
