Queen City, Texas, High School teacher David Sparks will speak to members of the Tex-Ark Audubon Society at 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at Texarkana College.

Sparks will speak about “The eBat Program,” a microvascular research project studying bat colonies in West Texas. eBat, a Texas A&M University project, also provides an area for open community discussions among researchers and educators through an integrated forum, blog and chat system.

Guests are welcome. The society will also discuss plans for the coming year.
