Nonprofits have gotten inventive using the Internet to raise their profile in the community.

Networking Websites like MySpace, Facebook and YouTube put information about an organization’s mission and programs at the fingertips of a tech-savvy generation.

“Based on national research, the vast majority of new nonprofit donors are very Internet savvy and prefer to do information searches and donations online versus calling the organization and actually speaking with someone or mailing something in,” said Michelle Harutunian, Harvest Texarkana executive director.
