A 50-year-old De Queen, Ark., man was arrested for forgery Saturday morning after allegedly distributing counterfeit money during an investigation conducted by the Secret Service.

Harold David Johnson was arrested after search warrants were served for the possession of counterfeit money.

Johnson reportedly passed counterfeit money while making purchases at the Sevier County Cooperative in December in downtown De Queen, said 9th Judicial District Prosecutor Bryan Chesshir.
