Two accidents in Miller County over the weekend left two people dead.

Michael Birdsong, 34, of New Boston, Texas, had parked his service truck on the side of Interstate 30 westbound and exited his vehicle when he was struck by a passing Freightliner, according to Arkansas State Police reports.

Birdsong was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday.

The driver of the truck was Ricardo Segura of Carrizo Springs, Texas. It is unknown if Segura is facing any charges in connection with the accident.
