Aspiring journalist covers big event

Thousands of professional journalists hope for the chance to cover a presidential inauguration, but one Texarkana native is covering it as a college reporter.

Sommer Ingram is a sophomore at Baylor University in Waco and generally covers the teaching and research beat for the school newspaper, The Baylor Lariat.

Last year, Ingram’s adviser asked if she would be interested in covering the inauguration for the college paper.
