Warehouse Fire: Flames claim local Halliburton building; no injuries reported
![]() Staff photo by Megumi Rooze Firefighters from Liberty-Eylau, Redwater and Wake Village volunteer fire departments fight blazes that began in the bagging area of Halliburton. One building was destroyed before firefighters were able to control the flames. The fire started somewhere in the middle of the building that houses the bagging area shortly before 5 p.m., said Liberty-Eylau Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief David Wesselhoft. The building contained pallets and empty bags, which added fuel to the growing flames. After battling the blaze for more than an hour, firefighters were able to get the fire contained before it could spread to a second building, Wesselhoft said.
