Overcrowding, plumbing problems, poor medical care and a lack of protection are some of the allegations described in six civil rights lawsuits filed in federal court by Miller County jail inmates.

All of the lawsuits predate the current administration.

Five of the complaints, filed within the last several months, make reference to an allegedly massive reorganization of prisoners that occurred Sept. 29, 2008.
