The Ark-Tex Council of Government met Thursday morning in Omaha, Texas, to put their stamp of approval on several grant applications.

Though no money is handed out by the regional organization, members approved a continuance for a $55,000 grant application to Faith Love & Hope for their drug awareness program aimed at 10- to 11- year-old children. The drug program is designed to pair adults of various ages with the kids to discourage future substance abuse. Faith Love & Hope can now continue on with the grant application process.
