The Crater of Diamonds State Park near Murfreesboro, Ark., reported 42 diamonds were registered at the Diamond Discovery Center during January, said Waymon Cox, a park spokesman.

Largest among the diamonds was a 1.20-carat brown gem found by Chad Johnson of Murfreesboro.

Cox said one-quarter of the diamonds found in January were registered by people visiting from outside Arkansas.
