The cities of Wake Village and Nash will hold municipal elections May 9.

The candidate filing period started Feb. 7 and will end at 5 p.m. March 9.

The last day to register to vote is April 9. Early voting, for those casting a ballot in person, will start April 27 and end May 5.

For Nash City Council, Places 2 and 3 are up for election. Place 2 incumbent John Watwood and Place 3 incumbent Robert Bunch have filed for re-election.
