Arkansas family dealing with two-pronged tragedy

Within two days tragedy hit a Southwest Arkansas family—one day after the guilty plea of a 55-year-old man for sexual assault, his son, a respected former Mineral Springs police chief, was killed in a traffic accident.

Billy Kuykendall Jr., 36, of Nashville, Ark., was killed when he lost control of a 1990 Kenworth tractor-trailer he was operating about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 24 on Arkansas Highway 355.

The truck, loaded with utility poles, overturned on the roadway about 1 1/2 miles south of Arkansas Highway 371.

Kuykendall was pronounced dead at the scene by Howar...
