A tractor-trailer carrying frozen chicken veered off U.S. Highway 71 Thursday morning and “was sucked in by the ditch” causing the rig to overturn, said an Arkansas State Police trooper.

The southbound 1992 Kenworth tractor, driven by Thomas E. West, 61, of Elkland, Mo., veered off the west side of the highway.
