It was a bloomin’ good time Friday at the Jonquil Festival in Old Washington, Ark. At least that’s what the kids, shoppers and hat-wearing dogs appeared to be having.

Friday kicked off the 41st annual festival at Historic Washington State Park where event coordinator Shelia Little said about 180 vendors had set up shop for the weekend.

Historically, Fridays tend to be less crowded than Saturdays at the festival, but vendors agree it was different this year.
