Jail escapee gets six years in prison

An 18-year-old man who used a homemade blanket rope to escape from the roof of the Miller County jail in February received six years in an Arkansas prison.

Jesse Green stood Tuesday before visiting Circuit Judge Ted Capeheart in the black-and-white striped uniform worn by prisoners of Little River County.

For his Feb. 18 escape, Capeheart sentenced Green to serve six years in an Arkansas prison. For felony criminal mischief, he received three years in prison and an additional three-year suspended sentence.
