Five-year-old Macy Treadway watched as firefighters carried her father’s flag-draped casket up a set of steel-grated ramps and lift it onto a Pleasant Grove Fire Department truck.

After the the remains of Roy Gene Treadway Jr. were secure, Macy walked up one of the ramps to look at the casket, but she was too short.

A Pleasant Grove firefighter lifted her up to give her a view before the fire truck led the funeral procession from First Baptist Church, Moores Lane, to Courtland Cemetery in Queen City, Texas.
